Amina and her husband Yusif live in Kwabeng, Ghana. They have been struggling to find a steady way to provide for their family. Life was quite unbearable, and they relied on alms from other members of their community to survive. They were introduced to Mentors Ghana earlier this summer and now life has begun to change for them. Through persistent counseling and training, they now have a startup business.
Their small roadside stand sells popular food items like eggs, fish, vegetables and more. Amina and her family are full of hope as for the first time they are able to take care of their own basic needs. The impact has now given them high hopes for the future, and thinking like true entrepreneurs, Amina and her husband are working towards expanding and improving their store.
