Luis Garcia is accomplished, to say the least. He is a science engineer, biologist, and currently studying psychology and chemical engineering. It is hard to imagine why Luis needs a loan. Yet, Luis had a big dream—a restaurant.
The loan Luis received from Mentors Peru helped with the restaurant start up costs, like purchasing tables and chairs. Luis and his wife continue to run a Xerox business called G al Cubo, meaning G to the third power.
There is more to Luis Garcia’s dream. You see, Luis is blind and simply wants to help others who are disabled to succeed. As head of the center bank, Luis has a desire to share the progress he has achieved with other handicapped people.
“Being blind is a gift,” says Luis. While it is hard to explain, Luis believes being blind has opened his eyes to understand the importance of serving others.
