Nicaragua, one of the least developed countries in Latin America, faces immense challenges due to poverty and a lack of access to education. For many families, this cycle of poverty continues from one generation to the next, without any hope of breaking free. But there is hope, and Mentors International has been working tirelessly since 2005 to provide mentorship, training, and micro-loans to help people transform their lives.

The World Bank reports that 58% of adults in Nicaragua are unemployed, and even those with jobs struggle to make ends meet. The COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing violence in the country have only made things worse, causing job losses, reduced business confidence, and economic decline, leaving many people struggling to survive.

With our programs, individuals and families gain the skills they need to start and expand their own businesses or secure quality jobs, breaking the chains of poverty that have held them back. Our mentoring provides ongoing support and encouragement, helping them to keep moving forward toward their goals and inspiring them to become leaders in their own communities.

We believe that with the right support, Nicaraguans can achieve self-reliance and prosperity even in the midst of a pandemic. By joining forces with us, you can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
