Lim Lon, a devoted husband and father of two from Trapeang Skun Village, Cambodia, once struggled to make ends meet working at a real estate agency. With no income and no prospects, his future felt uncertain.
In early 2025, he enrolled in Mentors Cambodia’s business mentoring program. Despite having no prior experience, within just two months, he gained the confidence and know-how to launch his own tailoring venture. With small savings and a $250 family loan, he purchased a sewing machine and began crafting men’s shirts. By marketing on social media and selling locally during Khmer New Year, he reached customers seeking meaningful gifts, and his business took off.
Today, Lim supports his family, takes pride in his work, and is steadily paying off his loan. By July, he plans to pay it off entirely, a powerful testament to his determination and financial progress.
“Before joining the business class, I lacked the confidence to start a business. But after learning about target customers, product distribution, and market research, I felt empowered to build something of my own. I’m so grateful for Mentors International for giving me the skills and courage to change our family’s future.”
