Gilda’s journey as an entrepreneur from Cape Verde was a challenging one, but her recent graduation from the Microsoft Office course offered by Mentors International has filled her with hope and excitement.
Prior to discovering Mentors International, Gilda was running her small sweets and savory business with limited education and no business goals or growth mindset. Moreover, she lacked computer knowledge, which could have been a vital tool for her business’s growth and record-keeping.
However, after completing the course, Gilda presented her business to using a professional PowerPoint presentation as part of her final project. The experience was an emotional one for her, as she had no computer skills before joining Mentors International.
Today, Gilda is leveraging the entire office suite to run her business more effectively. She can create invoices, track inventory with Excel, manage products, and create product descriptions in Word. She is now looking to partner with small shops to sell her baked goods and is ready to share her professional PowerPoint presentation with potential distributors.
Gilda has also successfully set up her company legally and officially, marking a significant milestone in her entrepreneurial journey. We are immensely proud of Gilda’s accomplishments and wish her all the best for her future endeavors.
