Mentors International in Nicaragua held a large entrepreneur fair last week highlighting businesses that have been receiving mentoring from us. This fair was open to the public, with many people from surrounding communities coming.
Several small business owners and some individuals wanting to start their own business were impressed with all the progress these featured businesses made. They then signed up to start receive business mentoring and training from our professional mentors. This fair was a great win-win-win event.
Small businesses were able to advertise and get new clients, new entrepreneurs found out about Mentors International and sign up for the programs we offer, and our team in Nicaragua will be able to mentor and help many more individuals and families in the coming year.
In addition, two recruiting companies held interviews looking to hire many of our vocational graduates. Because of the vocational classes, mentoring, resume and interviewing support our students are positioned for success. Finally, many of our students volunteered at this entrepreneur fair to help make this event such a success.
Supporting these mentees along their journey to sustainable self-reliance. This is Philanthropy that WORKS!
Great work from our team in Nicaragua! We look forward to many future job and entrepreneurial fairs in the future.Â
