I am reaching my goal.

Aura shared with us, “A year ago I was going through an anxiety crisis due to different difficulties I had with my family. I wanted to contribute more money to my family. I set a goal of increasing my monthly income. Thanks to what I learned in technology, organization, and planning; I am reaching my goal. I can say that I feel more motivated and stronger than before. Because I know how to use a computer, my income has increased.

I feel a lot of gratitude and admiration for Mentors International. My wish is that they can be blessed because of all the help they give to people. I hope they can continue to be part of many success stories like mine. I will carry my experiences in my heart forever.”

Aura’s daughter Monica learned about Mentors International and the programs we offer on Facebook. Monica was attending our vocational courses and encouraged her mother to start taking some of our courses as well.

At first, Aura was a little afraid of the computer because she had never used one before. Little by little her fear disappeared. Today she feels more confident and uses the computer as a tool. With her new skill set, Aura has found her job to be easier and she has more time for sales.

Aura works with catalog (online) sales. Implementing what she learned through our vocational Computer Course she is better able to organize her customers and the products they request.

Utilizing social media, Aura helped promote the programs that Mentors International offers in Guatemala to her friends and family. She wants everyone to know that you are never too old to learn new skills.

Brenda is a teacher and mentor, she shared with us “My feelings toward Aura’s story are of great admiration because, amid so many difficulties, she had the courage and perseverance to reach her goals. Aura is a very dedicated person; she is constant and punctual. I can say that when someone has the desire to change their life and they try their best; good things will happen. This is the case with Aura.”
