Mentors Cambodia

Chamroeun Kang

Chameron Kang is the director of our Learning and Mentoring Center in Cambodia. He was instrumental is helping this center open in 2019. Previously Chameron worked for the Cambodian Children’s Fund as one of their program managers. He has a Bachelor’s degree in English and International Relations from Norton University. Chameron is very excited to help his community grow and become more self-reliant through the programs and mentoring that we provide.

Sameth Meas

Sameth works for Mentors International as a Professional Mentor and Sales and Customer Service instructor in Cambodia since 2019. He is also fluent in English. Previously he worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cambodia for 13 years as an Administrative at Employment Resource Services and Perpetual Education Fund Loan Specialist at their Self-Reliance Center. He attended the International University, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Sameth loves helping people improve their lives.

He has worked as an accountant with a multinational organization, board member, and investment advisor of a Microfinance institution, and project coordinator in a pension fund organization. Mensah-Dotsey brings experience in business and strategic planning, and entrepreneurship to Mentors Ghana’s clients. He held many leadership roles in various social groups. He holds an MBA in Finance.

Ramon Dario Lorenzana

Ramon Dario Lorenzana was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He graduated as a Civil Engineer at the National University of Honduras. He is about to finish a postgraduate in Digital Entrepreneurship. His work experience has been in Business Administration, Land Development, and management with INDISA Manufacturing of various products such as confections and food packaging. He has worked for our organization since 2003.

He was in charge of opening our offices in Chinandega, Managua, and Masaya in Nicaragua; the San Miguel office in El Salvador; the Comayagua office in Honduras; the Retalhuleu and Quetzaltenango offices in Guatemala; and the Oaxaca and Tuxtla Gutiérrez offices in Mexico. He was in charge of opening the Center of Education and Mentor in 2016 in Guatemala City.

Currently, he serves as our Executive Director for Guatemala and also as the Director for our Center for Education and Mentoring.

He is married to Gloria Delgado and they have two children, but his favorite is his little granddaughter Piti.

Before Mentors Honduras, Manley worked as General Manager in a family business, and also as Logistics and Production Manager in a screen printing plant. He more than doubled productivity in every case. Born and raised in a poor environment himself, he was able to receive excellent academic and spiritual education which has prepared his mind and heart to serve and understand Mentors’ Honduras clients.

Denis Turcios Mendoza

Denis Turcios has been associated with our organization since 2004. He is an experienced Mentor and currently serves as the Director of the San Pedro Sula Center for Education and Mentoring.

His previous experiences include Financial Analyst for ‘Parque Industrial Caracol Knits’, Department Manager of the “Costos Coaba de Honduras’, Public Accountant for the International Department of ‘Banco Sogerin’, Instructor in Starting New Businesses, Accounting, Finances, Marketing and English as a Second Language.

Denis graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Universidad Tecnológica de Honduras in Business Administration, and also has a degree from the Universidad Cristiana Evangélica Nuevo Milenio in Education. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Denis is married to Karen, and they have one daughter.

Zoram Emmanuel Varguez Bacab

Zoram E. Varguez has had a great passion for technology and education which he studied at the university. He received his Computer Science degree from the “Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana” in 2007 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy from the “Instituto Escolar del Sureste” in 2013.

For 8 years he served as a support specialist in the Educational System of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, before becoming the Mexico Country Director in 2016, he was in charge of starting the operations of a Learning and Mentoring Center in Merida in 2017 and in Guadalajara in 2018. He has provided guidance in the opening of the Dominican Republic office, he has collaborated in the establishment of all the online courses in Mexico and contributed to the preparation of the Sales and Customer Service course in Spanish. Zoram is married to Liliana Ugalde Maldonado and they have five children.

David Azueta currently serves as the Academic Director for Mentors International in Mérida, Mexico. He has worked as a professional mentor for Mentors International for over 4 years. He has a degree in Industrial Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a teacher for 12 years teaching basic sciences in high school. He also has experience in the oil industry in developing industrial maintenance procedures for 15 years.

David was born and raised in Merida Mexico. He was the eighth child of nine siblings. He is grateful for his parents who taught him a strong work ethic, to value education, and live with high principles and values.

Country Director, CHOICE Nepal (In-Country Partner)

Prateek Sharma

Prateek Sharma was born in Chainpur, Sankhuwasabha district, Eastern Nepal. He was raised in a very small town with his family. His father owned and operated a small medical store. Being surrounded by those living in poverty, made him appreciate the difficulties families in his community faced. When he went to Kathmandu at the age of 18 for further studies, he was dedicated to finding ways to help the poor. While in Kathmandu he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Management.

After graduation, Prateek started his own construction business. Over time he became an “A” class contractor, the highest rating for a contractor from the Nepali government. He oversaw the construction of many public buildings, water and irrigation projects, health centers, and roads. But he never forgot the poor and disadvantaged people in the communities he worked in. He wanted to do something for them, to ease their burdens.

Since June 1, 2016, Prateek has been serving as the CHOICE Nepal Director. He is dedicated to the work and is passionate about continuing progress. With this joint venture between CHOICE Nepal and Mentors International he also serves as the program manager of Mentors Nepal. Mr. Sharma aims to eliminate extreme poverty, maintain transparency within the organization, and ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of all projects.

Veswengol Gharti Chetri (GC) has a BA in English in Economics. He speaks proficient Nepali, English, and Hindi which is a great benefit for our team. He helps oversee our business training courses in Nepal. He is very detail orientated. He loves to work with our country team as they look for new and innovative ways to serve and educate their communities. He has been part of our Nepal branch since we opened in 2018.

Pio Agustine Quintero

Pio A. Quintero graduated as an accountant from the UNAN Public University. He is an expert in physical and electronic security applications. He has been serving with Mentors International since 2007. He has been instrumental in not only running and operating our Learning and Mentoring Centers in Nicaragua, but he has helped open our centers in Honduras, Peru, and Mexico. He has helped train our mentors throughout Latin America and he is well respected by all. He is married to Gregoria del Carmen Sierra on May 12, 1980, they had five children and 16 grandchildren.

Silvia Leytón

Silvia has a degree in Business Administration from the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua and has worked at Mentors International since 2017.

She was a previous student of Mentors International and through our English programs became very proficient. She started working for Mentors International at our Center for Education and Mentoring as an English Teacher. Today she serves as the Academic Director at Mentors International in Managua.

She is passionate about talking to people and teaching business management skills. She loves helping entrepreneurs innovate and adapt to current ways of doing business. She is an avid learner and constantly self-training in order to contribute more to the community and to the performance of her work. She is currently taking an informal course learning how to handle business on social networks, and getting her certification in Virtual Teaching at the Benito Juárez University in Mexico.

She is married to Denis Antonio Loáisiga Salgado. He also works for Mentors International as a teacher.

Global Technology Center Director

René Quintanilla

Rene studied Computer Engineering at the National University of Engineering and has a degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Commercial Sciences. His expertise and work experience are vast and varied. Rene worked in the Emergency Social Investment Fund (FISE) Managua in the water purification project as head of IT Department. He has worked as a Contractor in the Installation of Structured Cabling, Biometric Systems, Surveillance Cameras, VoIP Communications, and Computer Networks. Additionally, he worked for more than 12 years in Nicaragua Sugar Estates Limited as a Systems Engineer as Director of 16 General Services areas. Rene is a Certified Auditor of International ISO 9000 Standards and HACCP food safety systems. Rene also developed a family business SISI (Sistemas Informáticos Su Internet) and was an Agroforestry Project Manager in the interior of the country for Construcciones Mejía.

Pio Agustine Quintero

Pio A. Quintero graduated as an accountant from the UNAN Public University. He is an expert in physical and electronic security applications. He has been serving with Mentors International since 2007. He has been instrumental in not only running and operating our Learning and Mentoring Centers in Nicaragua, but he has helped open our centers in Honduras, Peru, and Mexico. He has helped train our mentors throughout Latin America and he is well respected by all. He is married to Gregoria del Carmen Sierra on May 12, 1980, they had five children and 16 grandchildren.

Silvia Leytón

Silvia has a degree in Business Administration from the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua and has worked at Mentors International since 2017.

She was a previous student of Mentors International and through our English programs became very proficient. She started working for Mentors International at our Center for Education and Mentoring as an English Teacher. Today she serves as the Academic Director at Mentors International in Managua.

She is passionate about talking to people and teaching business management skills. She loves helping entrepreneurs innovate and adapt to current ways of doing business. She is an avid learner and constantly self-training in order to contribute more to the community and to the performance of her work. She is currently taking an informal course learning how to handle business on social networks, and getting her certification in Virtual Teaching at the Benito Juárez University in Mexico.

She is married to Denis Antonio Loáisiga Salgado. He also works for Mentors International as a teacher.

Rene studied Computer Engineering at the National University of Engineering and has a degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Commercial Sciences. His expertise and work experience are vast and varied. Rene worked in the Emergency Social Investment Fund (FISE) Managua in the water purification project as head of IT Department. He has worked as a Contractor in the Installation of Structured Cabling, Biometric Systems, Surveillance Cameras, VoIP Communications, and Computer Networks. Additionally, he worked for more than 12 years in Nicaragua Sugar Estates Limited as a Systems Engineer as Director of 16 General Services areas. Rene is a Certified Auditor of International ISO 9000 Standards and HACCP food safety systems. Rene also developed a family business SISI (Sistemas Informáticos Su Internet) and was an Agroforestry Project Manager in the interior of the country for Construcciones Mejía.

He started working for Cause For Hope/Lifting Generations in 2011. He was serving as the director of operations in Peru when they merged with Mentors International. He has helped establish our satellite branches in Venezuela. Currently, he serves as the Country Director for Mentors International in Peru.
