Paying it Forward
Fernanda has been taking English courses from Mentors International. She has completed the beginning course and is now working on completing the intermediate course.
She works at a small learning academy that she started with her sister for primary and secondary school children. As part of their business plan every semester they choose 2-3 children who need extra tutoring, but can’t afford it, and they provide this for free.
Both Fernanda and her sister took vocational training from Mentors International, and they also received business mentoring as they started their learning academy/tutoring business. While they were completing their Service Currency for their training classes they were inspired to continue serving and helping when possible.
Fernanda feels that nothing should stop you when you want to progress and get ahead. The happiness that Fernanda receives from helping these deserving students is payment enough, she told us.
