The work of a mother is a hard, yet too often unheralded work. We are grateful that there is a day set aside to honor mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, grandmothers, and women in all walks of life. Our mothers played a crucial role in our upbringing, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without their influence.
At Mentors International we see the daily struggles of these magnificent women who are trying to survive and give the best they can for their children. These mothers all demonstrate the same basic wants for their families: to give them a better life and to have them grow into better people. These women lead by example, teaching their families the principles of hard work, commitment, and honesty.
Anna from Ghana (pictured to the right) shared with us, “Many thanks to Mentors International for supporting me with mentorship throughout this Covid-19 pandemic. My family now eats good and nutritious food three times a day. My oldest son has been able to complete Secondary Education. I have also employed my sister who lost her teaching job when it was closed. I recommend Mentors International to every individual so they can alleviate poverty from their families and help our community to recover.”
Mothers like Anna inspire and motivate us to work harder, smarter, and more effectively, not only for them but for the generations they will influence.
