Class Service Project
The Intermediate English class learning from Mentors International in Peru spent a Saturday cleaning our Center for Education and Mentoring.
The students swept, moped, cleaned windows and bathrooms. This service project was very special for them because this was the first time this class had met in person. Our classes in Peru are still required to be online.
These students were excited to see our facilities, to learn more about Mentors International, and to practice their English together in person while they cleaned. They are grateful for the mentoring they have received along with the vocational training. They are excited about what the future will hold after they complete their training and qualify for higher-paying jobs.
There is no charge for the vocational training provided by Mentors International. Instead, students perform 40-hours of approved community service to “pay” for their classes.
