Adriana Álvarez loves to learn and wanted to continue her education, but couldn’t afford the cost. Being only 20 years old she has many dreams for her future.

Adriana was very excited when a friend told her about the Learning and Mentoring center in Mérida México. She was able to perform 40-hours of service throughout her community to pay for her education. Adriana enrolled in the English classes. She knew that this skill would allow her to find, and qualify for a better job.

Adriana completed both the intermediate and advanced English courses. In addition to the vocational courses taught at our Learning and Mentoring Centers, all of our students receive MENTORING and lessons in Self-Reliance. They are taught financial literacy so that as their incomes increase, they know how to manage their finances and save for the future. Adriana set career goals with the encouragement from her teachers and MENTORS.

TODAY Adriana is working at a primary school teaching English and sharing her love of learning with other children. She is saving for her future goal of serving a religious mission.

Adriana was very grateful for the opportunity to attend our training classes, and now she tells everyone she knows about our Learning and Mentoring Centers.
