Through mentorship, we’re able to provide knowledge and opportunities that benefit our mentees and their families for generations. On average every $1 that’s donated creates $5 of economic impact for a mentored family. How We Mentor
Oftentimes, our mentees come to us having little education and even fewer opportunities. Each of them may see happiness and prosperity differently, and therefore have different goals that they’d like to reach. That’s why we start the mentorship process by getting to know them, their families, and their personal circumstances. We help our mentees identify their long-term goals and set their short-term objectives, then we help them devise a plan to achieve their vision of success.
Mentees are taught how to track income and expenses, pay off consumer debt, and set aside money for savings each month. With sustained direction and support, our mentees are able to start their own small businesses or to secure quality jobs.
In many cases, our mentees need advice, encouragement, and even tough love to reach success in business and in life. With a dedicated mentor by their side, our mentees have a trusted colleague that they can turn to when they need help. They also have someone who will hold them accountable, pushing them to reach their full potential.
Our mentors are local leaders with diverse educational backgrounds, vast industry experience, thorough training, and a record of successful volunteer work. They are native to the countries in which they serve, which enables them to offer invaluable insights into the best ways to support the local communities. They understand the unique challenges and opportunities that exist, and they are deeply committed to the success of each mentee.
Through mentorship, the mentees are not only inspired to reach their goals, but they often go on to inspire and mentor others. Their success ripples throughout the community, uplifting all as they create a more self-reliant society.
